Bunya
Mountains National Park Centenary |
Every day is a great day to visit
one of the great south east's beautiful national parks… but
Saturday August 2nd is a particularly good one.
It's been 100 years since the official opening of Bunya Mountains
National Park, and rangers at this beautiful spot about 2 hours north northwest
of Toowoomba will be celebrating with a free sausage sizzle, story-telling,
guided walks, displays and children's activities.
The fun will continue into the night with spotlight walks and stories around
the fire, so it's a great excuse to get away to the mountains for a
winter weekend.

The
Way We Wear Vintage Fashion Fair |
The Way We Wear Vintage Fashion
Fair is a stylish affair that is on at the Community Hall at the Mt Gravatt
Showgrounds on the first weekend of August.
This time round, the clothing will largely be from the 1940s, a time when
women managed to create some amazing pieces with very limited resources.
Vintage clothing is all the rage right now, so don't miss the opportunity
to keep up with the times by stepping back in time.
