Palmwood Arts On a day trip to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland many visitors make a bee line for spots up on the range like Monteville and Maleny. But there are charming villages in the foothills that are worth exploring.
Palmwoods, just south of Nambour, is one of them, and its a hub of local creativity. The Cocoa Tree Café in the main street is run by Trish Fox and Pauline Smith. Pauline’s sumptuous homemade sweets entice passersby and her ‘knack of knitting’ gatherings on Wednesday afternoons have needles clacking. It’s BYO knitting essentials and just five dollars for a session that includes tuition, coffee and cake.
Rosebed Street Gallery and Studio in the heart of Eudlo is never short of unique and beautiful artwork to display. It fosters local artists in particular and the gallery is home to an ever changing collection of exhibitions, art classes and workshops.
