Doggy Day Trips

Dog face

One of the hardest things a passionate dog owner deals with is waving goodbye to their mate when they leave for the day.

Dog at the back of a van

A pair of sisters from Brisbane has come up with a novel way to keep your pooch happy when you're not able to.

Boardwalk

Doggy Day Trips is run by Angela and Leah O'Meara. Angela is a qualified dog trainer, and the women take groups of no more than six dogs to various parts of the south east, and give them plenty of exercise to keep them active during the day.

They conduct excursions to areas such as the Boondall Wetlands, Coochiemudlo Island and Nudgee Beach. The dogs get plenty of time running around in off-leash areas, as well as swimming where possible. A ten-minute session in the water equates to an hour of normal exercise.
