D'Aguilar National ParkD’Aguilar National Park is an amazingly diverse natural area, only 20 minutes from Brisbane city. Take a journey through open eucalypt woodlands, gums and lush subtropical rainforests. More than 800 plant species can be found in these forests, some of which are rare and threatened.
This living showcase of south-east Queensland’s diverse wildlife provides an opportunity for visitors to see the region’s fauna up close; including platypus, wombat, rainforest birds, reptiles and nocturnal marsupials. By visiting the Information Centre or taking part in the ‘’Connect With Nature’’ program, you have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and appreciation of our wonderful natural environment.
Walkabout Creek is located on Mount Nebo Road in The Gap, 12km from the city centre. A bus service from the city stops right at the door.
If you’re looking for more information about parks and national parks to explore across the greater Brisbane region then you can’t go past the Visit Brisbane website.
