City to Straddie It’s hard to believe that rugged coast line, beautiful inland lakes, and pristine beaches are easily accessible from a capital city. North Stradbroke Island, situated at the southern end of Moreton Bay, is one of the world’s largest sand islands and it is just an hour’s boat ride from Brisbane.
The crew from Straddie Kingfisher Tours have made the journey from Brisbane even easier with the City to Straddie tour. The aim of the tour is to pick you up in Brisbane’s CBD between 7.15am and 7.30 am and after exploring the island, get you back by 5.30pm with enough time to enjoy a night in the city.
The tour includes Brown and Blue Lakes, digging for pippies, dolphin spotting at Point Lookout’s North Gorge, a four wheel drive along Flinders Beach, a BBQ lunch and koala spotting at Amity Point, then a bush tucker afternoon tea, back on the mainland, at Redlands Indigiscapes Centre.
If you’d like more options for tours in the greater Brisbane area then the Visit Brisbane website will get you started.
