Etsy Street Fashion
Brisbane boasts a bevy of clever fashion divas – from those just starting out to women who’ve earned international acclaim for their fashion designs. Sacha Drake is a Brisbane-based designer whose beautiful clothes now grace more than 150 stockists across Australia and the rest of the world.
Sacha started her label because she couldn’t find any dresses that she wanted to wear - so she decided to make them herself, taking her inspiration from beautiful fabrics. Her Ultimate Black Dress is among Sacha’s most celebrated designs – a black dress that can be worn at least 20 different ways.
The BrisStylettes are a group of women who met while selling their handmade designs in the international on-line marketplace known as Etsy. There are more than 70 individual Brisbane designers now part of the collective and on July 4th many of them will be selling their wares as part of the BrisStyle Indie Designer Markets.
