Wilson's Boathouse Sabering Brisbane seafood restaurant, Wilson’s Boathouse on Hamilton, serves up a range of local seafood. It has a unique Oyster and Caviar Bar and has a large selection of wines that visitors can enjoy while overlooking the Brisbane River.
Wilson’s Boathouse also showcases ‘Sabering’, the unique French practice where bottles of champagne are opened with a saber.
The story goes that Napoleon’s soldiers were known to impress women with their sabering technique. There is a French Sabering organization with up to 150,00 members worldwide that teaches the art, and Wilson’s Boathouse is one of the first restaurants in Brisbane to train its waiters to use this flamboyant style.
