Manly Fishing
The Manly Multihull Yacht Club is the base for the inaugural 4BC Suncorp Family Fishing and Boating Classic on August 2 & 3, 2008.
As well as the challenge of catching fish, families can enjoy displays from local community groups, demonstrations on rod casting, hook tying, cast netting and BCF will hold kids’ clinics to introduce juniors to the world of fishing.
Fishing boundaries are the northern tip of Macleay Island and the southern end of Bribie.
First prize will be a $10 000 boat package… but there will be plenty of random prizes up for grabs.
Registration opens next Friday. It costs $5 per child and $10 for an adult to enter, but you’re best checking the competition website for the finer details.
