The Great South East airs every Sunday on 5.30pm on Channel 7 Queensland is all about highlighting the magnificent lifestyle enjoyed by those who live in the South East Queensland and encouraging people to get out and about and explore their own back yard.
Over the past 18 years, the show has grown in popularity to become the go-to-guide for inspiration of things to do in South East Queensland. While we specialise in low-cost and no-coast family-friendly activities – there’s no limit to the scope of activities experienced in the show; from horse riding adventures, boating trips, precinct shopping, day drives, to sampling some amazing local produce and checking out some of the hottest events in the region.
One of our most popular segments is “Once Around the Block” where our viewers take on a presenting role to show us what makes their neighbourhoods and local businesses among the best in the South East.
Consider our website as an extension of the show. Come back and visit us regularly; as we update pages with exciting new stories each week. If you run a business in South East Queensland and would like to promote yourself to some of Queensland’s most passionate television viewers and local explorers – then let us know as our audience is always on the look out for a hot deal and inspiration of things to do and places to visit.
In the lead up to our commemorative 1000th episode at the end of last year, we took viewers for a trip down memory lane and explored the evolution of the Great South East. As you’ll see in this episode, you’d be hard-pressed to find a tourism business or an event that hasn’t been featured on the show over the years.
